Social Networks the pulse of ecommerce success
I ran across an article on MacWorld today regarding the influence of Social Networks such as digg.com, deli.cio.us as well as blogs have helped to increase online sales. The fascinating thing about this article is that while the large e-tailers are targeting sales through Search Marketing, smaller companies have gone social and have seen a clear increase in sales in 2006 compared to 2003.
I’m all for Social Search and I have only one tiny request!
Large e-tailers please stay the heck away from top 10 lists on digg - the thought of Amazon and Ebay lists all over the front page of digg scares me. Now there’s a way to kill Social Networking online.
